Some paper tax forms are still available at the Library and any tax form can be obtained via the Internet. If you need assistance with tax forms the Reference Desk can assist you in obtaining forms via the Internet.

The Library has received copies of some Forms and booklets. Check the available forms at the Library or check with the Reference Desk. Federal and state forms are also available on their respective websites.

According to published reports the IRS will no longer mail tax forms to the public since the majority of tax returns are now computer prepared.

The Library will again have tax forms next year. Limited information may be available at the Reference Desk. Forms and publications are available 24/7 at www.irs.gov

On April 15 the Library will have a limited number of copies of the Federal Tax Extension Form (Form 4858) for individual taxpayers. This is not an extension of time to pay only to file. In addition you can download a copy of the Form and instructions here. Form 4868

The Library continues to have a small supply of various Federal Tax Forms and MA tax booklets. If you need other forms they can be found at the websites identified below. The Library has computers connected to the Internet and the forms can be downloaded and printed at the Library. For more information ask at the Reference Desk.
