Welcome to the unofficial website of the Southwick (MA) Public Library. The Library is located at 95 Feeding Hills Road in Southwick, MA 01077. Library hours, telephone number, etc. is available here. The Library provides free public Wi-Fi 24/7 both inside and outside the building.
(December 2013) The Friends Basket program continues until December 11, The Library insulation project is expected to start soon in order to reduce the cost of utilities as well as make the temperature in the building more comfortable for library users. When construction starts the public entrance to the facility will be on the right side of the building through the Children's Room. Signs will direct the public when this is necessary. Thanks in advance for any inconvenience.

(September 25, 2013) Thank you to those area residents that attended the musical concert at the Library last night. The performance was very good and the audience enjoyed themselves based on comments made at the end of the presentation. These are other programs for adults, teen and children are provided based on funding from the town budget, the Friends of the Southwick Public Library and the Southwick Cultural Council.

(July 16, 2013) On Saturday July 20 access to the book drops at the Library is expected to be impacted by an event in the parking lot authorized by the Board of Selectmen. This event is expected to take place in the afternoon/evening as part of the Parade for the Firemen's Carnival. This event is NOT a Library related activity and the Library is NOT involved with the activity.
(July 2013) We have tried to make online research of newspapers (Boston Globe, New York Times) and thousands of magazine, journals, etc. easier. You can click on the Online research tab and have access to online databases. There is no cost to use this service and it is provided courtesy of state and federal funding.
Thank you to those that completed the Public User Survey during the month of May. The results will be used as part of the Strategic Planning process. The Library Director, the Strategic Planning Committee and the Library Board of Trustees will be reviewing the results and the comments made by more than 100 participants. No additional surveys can be added to the process.

Celebration of 120 Years of Service to the Community
On July 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. the Library hosted a celebration event with area leaders, entertainment for children and refreshments. The event was open to the public. Clck here for a list of officials that attended. In addition reporters from the Southwick Suffield News, The Westfield News and the Republican were in attendance. More than 60 members of the public attended including a 100 year old local resident and a candidate for the position of State Representative Sam DiSanti also attended. Also attending were most of the Library Board of Trustees.
